Distribution System Resilience Improving Method Considering High Temperature Superconducting Cables

Recently extreme events including natural disasters and man-made attack which can make catastrophic damage to power system have occurred more and more frequently. Resilience researches of power system have become urgent. This paper focuses on the distribution system large-scale load transfer problem, and presents a distribution system resilience improving method considering the high temperature superconducting(HTS) cable's advantages of low loss, large capacity. The resilience of the distribution system can be improved with the HTS cable placement scheme obtained by the presented method which handle the large-scale load transfer problem. The effectiveness of the scheme is verified with the IEEE 123 node system.
