Evaluation of High-quality Development Level of Power Grid under the Double Carbon Target in China

Carbon emissions peak and neutral (double carbon) is the inherent requirement and inevitable trend of China's economy into high-quality development. At present, the development of the power industry has entered a critical transition period, facing various challenges such as the safe and stable operation of the new power system, but also ushering in important opportunities for the clean and low-carbon transformation and development of the industry, which urgently requires the identification of the basic conditions and realistic characteristics of the power grid development. Based on the double carbon target, this paper uses the framework of resource-environment-economy-society composite system to construct a grid high-quality development evaluation index system, adopts structural equation model to study the realistic basis of grid high-quality development and the current level of low-carbon development, which can provide countermeasure suggestions for grid transformation and upgrading.
