Simulation of Wind Farm Echoes from Radar in Scanning Mode

With the rapid development of wind power generation, an increasing number of wind farms may have a serious impact on radar target detection performance. It is of great significance to establish the model of wind farm echoes from radar. Firstly, a single wind turbine echoes model is established based on the scattering points superposition model. On this basis, the impact of terrain obstacles on the visibility of each wind turbine in the wind farm is considered. The model of wind farm echoes in radar scanning mode is studied. The echo characteristics are simulated and analyzed to provide a theoretical basis for the identification and suppression of wind farm echoes. The simulation results prove the effectiveness of the proposed model.
