摘要
This paper deals with the comparison of several excitation modes for four different winding configurations in a 3-phase, 36/24, axial-field switched reluctance machine with double stator and segmented rotor. The topology of the axial-field double stator switched reluctance machine (AFDSSRM) is made of 2 stators connected in series and a segmented rotor in between. The first couple of winding configurations is that each stator tooth holds one coil dedicated to one phase. The other two winding configurations are of two successive teeth holding two coils dedicated to one phase. In previous works, two winding configurations were explored for the AFDSSRM, the classical winding for SRMs (+A- -B+ +C- -A+ +B- -C+) and the mutually coupled one (+A- +B- +C- +A- +B- +C-) in the one tooth for one phase configuration. In this paper, the two successive coils for one phase windings are also explored in the classical SRM configuration (+A- -A+ -B+ +B- +C- -C+) that will be fed with rectangular current and in the mutually coupled (+A- -A+ +B- -B+ +C- -C+) that will be fed by sine wave current and bipolar step current. The comparisons of torque generation and torque ripple are carried out using 2D finite element model (FEM) with the hypothesis of radial invariance of local quantities. That allows 2D modeling at the mean radius of the machine.
