Abstract
The development of field emission electron source is beneficial for its wide and important applications including material science, nanotechnology, biological, etc. in decades. In recent year, the research for "spin-polarized" field emission electron source have attracted much attention due to the development of spintronic devices creating more demands on the measurements of spin. In this report, a new method for emitting spin-polarized electron is provided greatly influencing the development of field emission source and being a rising research direction. The model of this method is that hybrid interfaces between magnetic and carbon materials are used as emission source. When charge current flows through a magnetized magnetic material, anomalous Hall effect occurs and spin current is provided flowing to the thin films of carbon material. Because of the excellent field emission property from the thin films of carbon material, the spin-polarized electrons are field-emitted to the vacuum environment. The spin-polarized field emission source can offer more effective, convenient and reliable spin-polarized measuring technologies from the interactions between samples such as diffraction, interference and scattering.
