A framework for evaluating the performance of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing channel estimators is developed. This framework builds upon previously published work to provide testing of millimeter-wave phased array architectures with realistic phased array hardware components and associated errors. The framework generates performance metrics to help optimize estimators for various array architectures and propagation channels without the need for time- and cost-intensive measurement campaigns. The verification process of the developed software is discussed to ensure correct operation through both analytical and empirical methods. Finally an example evaluation of a least-squares channel estimator is presented.
