Effective Simulation of Broadband Absorbers Using MoM/SIE and 2D Periodic Green Functions

For effective simulation of broadband absorbers using MoM/SIE we propose the use of a) higher order basis functions, b) optimal dynamic meshing throughout the frequency range, c) efficient evaluation of 2D periodic Green's functions combining Ewald, modified Cesaro and Shank transforms, and d) parallel run of simulations at each frequency, in reverse order, from the highest to the lowest one. The method is demonstrated on a pyramidal absorber of maximal electric dimension of 13.75 wavelengths in vacuum using 150 frequency points, and the ratio of stop and start frequency equals 150.
