Single and Multiple Actions of Short-Pulsed Temporal Metamaterials

摘要
Temporal metamaterials that rely on impulsive modulations of the constitutive parameters can perform elementary analog computing on impinging wavepackets. We summarize some recent results on simple and multiple short-pulsed metamaterials and demonstrate their computational capabilities. Our results suggest that the temporal dimension can offer new opportunities for designing metamaterials with computational capabilities.
