A Microwave Resonator Sensor and its Application in Human Pulse Monitoring

Abstract
The microwave resonator sensor consists of resonant structures designed to resonate at a specific microwave frequency. The resonant frequency or other characteristics of the resonator can be changed as the sensor interacts with the environment due to variations in environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, pressure, or the presence of certain substances. By measuring changes in resonant frequency or other parameters, microwave resonator sensors can offer useful information about the physical features of the environmental variation. In this work, a rectangular open-loop resonator sensor is proposed to monitor the human pulse signal by measuring the capacitance of the resonator. The proposed sensor provides precise measurements with a high degree of accuracy. It exhibits great potential in human pulse monitoring.
