Small Spectrometer with Extremely High-resolution (0.07 nm) Realized with an Improved Reconstruction Algorithm

Spectra are reconstructed by capturing wavelength-specific patterns of localized light in a photonic-crystal-waveguide. We show that real-time reconstruction at a wavelength resolution of 0.07 nm is possible by using low-rank approximation with singular-value-decomposition and regularized-least-squares.
