We propose and study a new type of channel waveguides with sub-wavelength structures for achieving near-zero flattened dispersion band (<; 100ps/nm/km variation within 200nm bandwidth) on the silicon-on-insulator (SOI) platform at the 1.55μm telecommunication wavelength.
