Abstract
In order to meet the requirements of parameter upgrading of CRAFT superconducting Tokamak experimental device, the fast control power supply as one of the subsystems needs to be upgraded accordingly, and the integrated power supply protection system is a crucial part to be upgraded. According to the new parameters proposed by the CRAFT experimental device, the protection methods will be redesigned for each new generation fast control power supply system link. Through in-depth study of the protection mechanism of the fast control power supply in the field of nuclear fusion, and in combination with the parameter requirements of CRAFT nuclear fusion device, the surge current suppression circuit, voltage protection circuit, over-current protection circuit, over-temperature protection circuit, electric energy release protection circuit, crowbar protection circuit, etc. this scheme has the characteristics of wide protection range, high reliability and strong security. The simulation and experimental results show that the power supply protection system can ensure the safe and reliable exit of the power supply in case of sudden failure and effectively protect the superconducting magnet and power supply components in the superconducting Tokamak experimental device from damage, thus verifying the feasibility and effectiveness of the design scheme.
