A Wideband Dual Circularly Polarized Metasurface Antenna with Directional Coupler

This paper proposes a wideband dual circularly polarized metasurface antenna. Through the combination of directional coupler and two-port microstrip metasurface antenna, the dual circularly polarized antenna can be realized. After simulation, the antenna has a VSWR ≤ 3 bandwidth from 3.17 GHz to 4 GHz, and has the 3-dB axial ratio bandwidth of 12.4 % (3.17 ~ 3.59GHz) for two circularly polarized modes. And the antenna has the boresight radiation gains of more than 7.63 dBic.
