EM Modeling of Substrate Integrated Waveguide Using a Fast Frequency Sweep Approach

摘要
The wide-band electromagnetic finite element modelling involves solving the matrix equations at a series of discretized frequency points. However, the wide-band modeling often leads to high computational costs. In this paper, a fast frequency sweeping approach based on the model order reduction (MOR) technique is proposed to analyze substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). For complex SIW structures, the fast frequency sweep approach can significantly reduce the computational costs based on a reduced model. Numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed method for the SIW simulations.
