Engineering Foundation Reinforcement Detection Using Joint Inversion of Electromagnetic and Seismic Data

Quantitative detection of the distribution of water, air and porosity is helpful to evaluate the stability analysis of foundation reinforcement treatment. As a simple and nondestructive evaluation technology, geophysical prospecting is widely applied in foundation reinforcement treatment. However, the evaluation of stability analysis used single inversion is away under non-uniqueness and ill-pose. In this paper, we use the joint inversion of seismic refraction data and resistivity data to calculate the content of water, air, porosity and other components in the stratum during foundation reinforcement treatment. Numerical case studies are presented and demonstrated the effectiveness of this joint inversion in quantitative detection of foundation reinforcement treatment.
