A hybrid interpolation method for the high-efficient frequency sweep in electromagnetic simulation

Abstract
In this paper, the integration of the rational vectorfitting into the model-based parameter estimation (MBPE) technique is proposed to accelerate numerical simulations of electromagnetic simulation. The poles and zeros in the frequency band will be extracted by rational vector-fitting method, and the band is divided into several monotonous intervals. The MBPE is then applied to easily interpolate the frequency points in each monotonous interval. The example result of antenna array shows that the improved adaptive frequency sweep method reduces the number of frequency points required for direct calculation. The accuracy and effectiveness of this method are verified.
