Performance Enhanced Millimeter-Wave Array Antenna by Sequentially Rotating Wideband Circularly Polarized Radiating Elements

摘要
A performance enhanced circularly polarized (CP) 2×2 array antenna is constructed by sequentially rotating four wideband CP radiating elements. It is a multilayered structure based on standard printed circuit board (PCB) processing. A microstrip feeding network is designed to provide the required excitation phases and amplitudes for the four radiating elements in a wide operating band. According to the simulated results, the proposed low-profile wide-band antenna exhibits an impedance bandwidth within
$25\sim 47.96$
GHz, an axial ratio bandwidth within
$25\sim 46.16$
GHz and an average in-band gain higher than 5dBic, etc, thus, making it an attractive candidate for the future wireless communications.
