RCS Reduction of an FP antenna through both in-band scattering and out-of-band absorption

摘要
By loading a randomly arranged coding metasurface as a partially reflective surface, an Fabry-Perot antenna with broadband RCS reduction is designed. The coding unit consists of two metal square patches printed on both sides of the dielectric plate for in band scattering and a frequency selective absorber (FSA) for out-of-band absorption. By loading the coding metasurface with dual properties, not only broadband RCS reduction in 5.6-18.6GHz is achieved, but also the gain of the FP antenna is increased to 14.4dBi.
