Design and Simulation of a Flexible Mechanism for Wearable Assisted Posture Adjustment

For bedridden patients who suffer from muscle atrophy due to prolonged immobility, regular exercise is necessary for rehabilitation. Therefore, a flexible wearable posture adjustment mechanism is proposed to assist in posture adjustment of the human body. It is crucial to study the mechanism of human movement and to carry out an anthropomorphic design of the posture adjustment mechanism. The mechanism uses traction ropes as the driving method, and the human arms and legs are key force application points for assisting posture adjustment of the limbs. Based on the analysis of human anatomy and the spatial motion of limbs, kinematic modeling analysis of the mechanism's motion process is carried out. Then, a simulation analysis of the human limb motion process is conducted to obtain the force data required for each limb's motion during posture adjustment. The research results can provide a theoretical basis for the design of human-machine motion collaboration posture adjustment rehabilitation mechanisms.
