Distributed Response Characteristics of PV Cells in String Photovoltaic Power Station During LVRT

In recent years, the string PV cells are widely used in the large photovoltaic power station with the increase of the PV cell capacity. In the large photovoltaic power station, each PV cell’s characteristic responses differently during the Low-Voltage Ride-Through (LVRT) which affected by the distribution position since the PV cells are located in a wide area. In this paper, a detailed string photovoltaic power station model of ideal switching characteristics for power electronics is proposed to analyze the influencing factors of the distributed steady and transient response characteristics of the PV cells during LVRT. The quantitative analysis of influencing factors such as electrical distances, distribution of real power, etc. are presented. The results show that the higher real power output of the PV cell before the LVRT may lead to the larger transient disturbance in the recovery stage of the LVRT. Finally, the validity of quantitative analysis is verified by the simulation.
