Earthquake Epicenter Localization Using Fiber Optic Distributed Acoustic Sensing for Earthquake Early Warning Purposes

This paper presents an approach for locating an earthquake epicenter that is faster than what we showed earlier. The new method incorporates time difference of arrivals of P waves to locate earthquakes. It provides enhanced early warning possibility by faster localization using distributed acoustic sending.
