Abstract
Aiming at the goal of the national electric power system devoted to the construction of special wireless network, a kilowatt-level RF power amplifier applied to the electric power LTE230 wireless broadband communication network is realized. Based on the power synthesis technique, this paper uses self-developed RF-LDMOS devices, and chooses 3dB hybrid couplers with a phase difference of 90° at the ports. The two transistors are connected in parallel for 4-way synthesis. Meanwhile, the hybrid matchmaking method of capacitor and microstrip line is used instead of coaxial line matching, and finally achieves a power amplifier with balanced structure. The test results show that at the frequency of 230 MHz, the output power is 60.1dBm (1023W), the drain efficiency is 60.3%, the power gain is 19.8dB, and the module has good input and output standing-wave properties. This balanced power amplifier has achieved high degree of localization from the chip process to the module design. Moreover, it has a grate application value.
