Optimization Method of AC filter Field Layout Structure in UHV Converter Station

Abstract
The AC filters is one of the important components of UHVDC converter stations, used for harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation. In this paper, by selecting the filter field architecture and optimizing the height of the large set of bus-bars, sufficient safety distance is provided for the energized maintenance operation of primary equipment, thus reducing the outage loss. By comparing and analyzing the increased cost of the elevated structure with the economic benefits brought by the energized maintenance, a reasonable interval for the elevated height of the filter field structure is obtained. Finally, both the feasibility and effectiveness of this paper are verified by taking the optimization of the frame height of a "tian" shaped structure of a UHV converter station in the south network as an example.
