Fabrication and Measurement of Millimeter Wave Co-planar Slow Wave Structure

摘要
In this paper, a V band coplanar slow-wave structure (SWS) for application of backward wave oscillator is designed, fabricated and measured. The dispersion characteristics and coupling impedance of the SWS are simulated using CST Microwave studio. The measurement of cold-test parameters is carried out for structures with and without the metal shield. The results show that the S parameters of the SWS with the metal shield is in good agreement with the simulation results. The SWS without metal shield has some radiation loss compared with the one with a metal shield.
