Research on Automatic Generation Technology of Earthquake Emergency Thematic Map Based on MapWorld API

Earthquake emergency thematic maps play an important role in post-earthquake emergency work. The generation process of earthquake emergency thematic map requires high timeliness and stability. Traditional manual generating methods are often difficult to meet the actual application requirements. In this paper, an automatic and rapid generation technology of emergency thematic map using MapWorld API is proposed and implemented. The key technologies, system design, implementation results and practical application are discussed. We realize the software in Visual Studio 2018, and apply it to actual earthquake emergency work. The research results show that the generation of earthquake emergency thematic map based on MapWorld API is fast and convenient, without considering about data source and commercial GIS software, and has important practical significance.
