A Reconfigurable Two-Port Cognitive MIMO Antenna for 5G Application

In this paper, a two port Multi Input Multi output (MIMO) antenna is proposed. With help of PIN and varactor diodes wideband reconfigurable antenna is achieved. The proposed antenna work in wideband mode when both PIN diode is on, and to achieve reconfigurability both varactor diode operated in reverse biased condition with variable capacitor. The wideband antenna is designed to cover spectrum range of 1.5GHz-5GHz for spectrum sensing purpose and reconfigurable antenna is designed for communication over frequency range of 2.5GHz-4.5GHz. The proposed antenna size is 120mm*60mm*1.6mm. CST (computer simulation technology) software is used to design and simulate the proposed antenna.
