Remanufacturing benefit comprehensive evaluation for an automotive alternator based on the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process

Remanufacturing is an emerging green strategic industry with resource, economic, and environmental advantages, and has gradually become a popular research topic. The multiple benefits of remanufacturing make it a key direction for its industrial development, so the quantitative evaluation of its comprehensive benefit has important research value. Automotive parts have a high remanufacturing value and account for a large proportion of the remanufacturing industry, and thus, they require systematic benefit evaluation as a reference for production decisions. To address the above problems, this paper proposes a multi-parameter method for a comprehensive evaluation of remanufacturing benefit based on remanufacturing process data, using an automotive alternator as the research object. The method is developed by analyzing the remanufacturing characteristics and process of automotive alternators and constructing a multi-parameter comprehensive evaluation indicator of the remanufacturing benefit with five aspects. The method uses the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for a comprehensive evaluation. Finally, the proposed method is validated and analyzed using an automotive alternator product remanufacturing example. The results show that the method can obtain multi-dimensional, detailed, and reliable evaluation results, that it can effectively help decision-makers optimize the program, and that it has strong feasibility and effectiveness.
