Electric field prediction and optimization of 12 kV switchgear contact box

The concentrated electric field of the contact box will lead to the aging of the insulator, which is easy to cause accidents such as breakdown. Therefore, this paper considers KYN-28A switchgear as the object of study and comes up with a three-dimensional electric field prediction and optimization method based on SVM-PSO hybrid algorithm for contact box of switchgear. Firstly, this paper establishes the three-dimensional model of switchgear by SolidWorks and the model is imported into COMSOL for electric field calculation. Then, the maximum of electric field strength of switchgear contact box can be obtained through the simulation. Next, a set of simulation data is obtained by enumeration of phase spacing, cross section area and corner radius of bus bar. This group of data is applied to SVM, and then the electric field prediction model of switchgear contact box under different bus phase spacing, cross-sectional area and chamfer radius is established. Last, the optimization results of the minimum field strength of the contact box are obtained by using the PSO optimization algorithm. The research results of this paper provide a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of switchgear.
