Method for Evaluating the Accuracy of Sommerfeld Integrals Calculations in Half-Space Problems

For the past 100 years, there has been continued interest in simulating antenna and scatterering scenarios above and inside the real ground [1]. Last 50 years the main focus is on fast and accurate numerical evaluation of Sommerfeld integrals, including the recent research looking for solutions of largescale EM problems [2]. Although there are many papers offering various methods for numerical evaluation of Sommerfeld integrals it is challenging task not only to develop a code that performs this numerical evaluation, but also to verify the accuracy of the results. One way to perform such verification is to compare the results with those given in open literature. However, the number of examples available for comparison is limited, and accuracy of presented results is up to some level questionable.
