Abstract
The virtual power plant (VPP) aggregates various distributed resources in the distribution network into a whole, which not only improve the global response capability of the aggregated resources, but also participate in power grid dispatching and power market transactions as a whole to improve the performance of resources. The recent studies about the evaluation of VPP are not comprehensive. Therefore, an evaluation model of response ability is established in this paper, and more comprehensive evaluation indexes including response time and duration are proposed. Then, an evaluation method for the overall response capability of VPP is proposed, which takes the safe operating conditions of distributed resources as constraints, optimizes and solves the multidimensional quantitative indexes of response capability, and obtains the overall response capability of aggregated resources. Finally, the response capability curve of VPP within 24 hours is obtained through an example, and the effectiveness of the method in this paper is verified by analysis. The overall response capability information calculated by the method in this paper can be reported as the basis for power grid regulation, and the proposed index can intuitively evaluate the aggregated response capability, which is helpful for the analysis and control of VPP response capability.
