To be compatible with all the existing spacecraft power bus, 3D PLUS is developing an insulated “Front end” resonant power converter. This converter works from 20V to 120V for the input voltage, and delivers a single regulated output adjustable by the user from 2.5V to 3.5V. Output power range is between 0W to 50W. To manage the wide input and output voltage ranges, we use a phase modulation in a full bridge topology. To minimize losses and to decrease the switching disturbances, the converter works always in soft switching conditions. An innovative power conversion structure allows to work near the resonant frequency regardless of the load.
