Abstract
In order to identify the weak points in power converters for e. g. wind energy plants, a full-scale test rig with a maximum power of 10 MW and a climate chamber has been set up. There, entire switch cabinets can be tested under realistic climatic conditions and with varying electrical loads. The behaviour of the wind turbine generator is to be emulated by the frequency converter. Therefore, a model-based approach was chosen. Since there are no rotating machines in this test stand, the shaft angle must be extracted from the calculation model and transferred to the DUT. Within this work the overall process of modelling, parametrisation and coupling of the DUT based on emulated encoder signals will be optimised towards a fully functional test platform for power converters.
