Abstract
Wireless networks-on-chip (WNoCs) are a promising complementary interconnect technology to overcome the communication bottleneck of many-core chips. Yet, pecularities of the on-chip radio environment like its strong reverberation still thwart WNoCs. Recently, we proposed to endow the WNoC with an on-chip reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) to dynamically mold the on-chip wireless channels, e.g., for traffic-adjusted over-the-air channel equalization. Here, we present our progress toward implementing this idea in the 0.3 THz regime, where the required WNoC bandwidths are more readily available than at mmW frequencies.
