Abstract

•A one-step solvothermal approach was adopted for the synthesis of bimetallic Zn-Cu MOF.•GCE modified with Zn-Cu MOF and activated charcoal showed an enhanced electrochemical response towards acephate compared to bare GCE.•The detection limit was 3.3 pM (S/N = 3) in a linear range of 0.1–10 nM.
