10-Year assessment of GNSS integrated water vapour in the SIRGAS network

This work aims to analyse ten years (2012–2022) of integrated water vapour (IWV) values computed with the SIRGAS tropospheric products. We selected 246 sites that guarantee the continuity of data, and we extracted common statistical values for each time series (mean values, standard deviation, and time of daily peaks). With this information, we performed a spatial analysis of the IWV over Latin America and the Caribbean region, that is covered for this geodetic network. We analysed the homogeneity of the IWV time series, and we applied Rotated Principal Components Analysis (RPCA) for the comprehension of the seasonal variations of each site. Due to the extension of the region of interest, we studied the influence of latitude and height in the behaviour of IWV. We performed an unprecedented analysis of IWV, showing the potential of the tropospheric products offered by the SIRGAS network.
