First record of the leafhopper genus Libengaia from India, with description of new species (Hemiptera: Deltocephalinae: Opsiini)

The leafhopper genus Libengaia Linnavuori (Opsiini: Deltocephalinae: Hemiptera) has been described with five species from Central Africa. This study presents a new report of this genus from India. One new species, Libengaia lamerallissp. n., and one new combination, namely, Libengaia bharatiensis (Malhotra and Sharma) comb. n. (formerly in the genus Litura Knight), are described and illustrated. An annotated checklist and key to the species are also provided.
