Influence of superovulation on the production of native Vietnamese pig embryos in vivo and embryonic survival after vitrified-thawed

•The superovulation improved the production of native Vietnamese pigs embryos in vivo. The average of the follicle, corpora lutea, recovered embryos per sow in the superovulated group was higher than non-superovulated group.•The highest number of repeated superovulation flushing for recovery embryos on the Kieng Sat pigs was four times.•The results of this study show that the response of native Vietnamese pigs to superovulation depends on the breed.•We succeeded to create pregnant pigs after transfer from vitrified-thawed embryos in vivo of native Vietnamese pig breed for the first time.
