Effect of Mn dopant on the ferromagnetic characteristics of In2O3 nanoparticles

In2O3 having a tunable bandgap and magnetism is a potential material for spintronic applications. In this work, the as-prepared Mn-doped In2O3 nanoparticles exhibit obvious room-temperature ferromagnetism, which can be modulated by Mn doping concentrations. By the X-ray powder diffraction test, there are no impurities phases in the nanoparticles. The energy-dispersive spectrometer and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy tests can illustrate that Mn3+ was successfully doped into indium oxide crystals. The In2O3 nanoparticles exhibit a parabolic shape with increase in the Mn doping concentration.
