Antimicrobial, antioxidant, and toxicity assessment of Ammonium-Based deep eutectic solvents with formic acid and butyric acid hydrogen bond donors

•Tetrabutylammonium bromide-based deep eutectic solvents were formulated with formic acid and butyric acid.•TBABr-based formulations presented antimicrobial potential.•TBABr: FA and TBABr: BA were found to promote the cell proliferation of NIH3T3 cell lines.•The free radical scavenging activity and LC50 value of TBABr: FA were high.•Provide a basis for future research studies on the application of DESs in the biological system.
