Abstract
•MXene/heterocyclic aramid nanocomposite films are fabricated by a scalable method.•The nacre-like film possesses high tensile strength and exceptional toughness.•The nacre-like film has a preeminent EMI SE of 43.0 dB at a thickness of 13.0 µm.•The nacre-like film shows a high in-plane thermal conductivity of 11.5 W m−1 K−1.•The nacre-like film exhibits remarkable retardancy and photothermal performance.
