摘要
Introduction The aim of these case reports is to present the navigated pathway used to insert dental implants for reconstruction of the jaws after extensive tumor surgery and review the literature regarding the computer-guided techniques. Case presentation Three cases after extensive tumor surgery and osseous reconstruction are described. Two reconstructions were done with a fibula graft, the other one with an iliac crest graft. After complete osseointegration, the exact position of the implants was planned by a computer tomography and the software coDiagnostiX. The operation was done computer-guided with the Denacam System of the company mininavident AG. Thus, precise implant position regarding the entry point, the apex, and the angle could be achieved. Overall, 14 implants were inserted. Conclusion Precise implant placement is essential to ensure the long-term survival of dental implants, especially after osseous reconstruction of the jaws. Thus, dynamic navigation offers the possibility to provide satisfactory prosthetic work even in complex patient cases.
