Abstract
A compact spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) transmission line (TL) helps to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). This concept is explained and discussed in this paper. The mutual coupling of two closely spaced SSPP lines is reported in terms of S-parameters and E-field distributions. We can observe that by reducing the gap between the SSPP line to be 0.4mm a good isolation of -20dB can be obtained. The performance of each case is compared with that obtained with the microstrip technology. The benefits of using SSPP-based lines are discussed.
