Hommage to Albert Hesse (1938-2022)

Albert Hesse (1938-2022), director of research at the CNRS, was a specialist in geophysical prospection, a discipline in which he was one of the initiators in France and a constant protagonist throughout his career. He was one of the founding members of the GMPCA association in 1976 and this note is intended to pay tribute to his career and his commitment to his research field and more broadly to archaeometry.
