Abstract
Two new compounds, including one new ellagitannin, 4"-carboxyl-1,2,3,6-tetra-O-gally-& beta;-D-glucopyranose (1), and a new phenylpropanoid glycoside, 7 & alpha;-hydroxy-7 & beta;-8 & beta;-9ax & beta;-9eq & alpha;(8,9-epoxy)-guaiacylglycerol 4-O-& beta;-D- glucopyranoside.(8), have been isolated from the seed of Torreya grandis, together with eight known compounds (2-7, 9 and 10). Their structures were elucidated by the basis of NMR and HRFABMS. All the isolates were evaluated for in vitro inhibitory activity against DGAT1/2. Among them, compounds 1-7 displayed the significant inhibitory activities on DGAT1 with IC50 values ranging from 31.1 & PLUSMN; 1.1 to 118.5 & PLUSMN; 1.2 & mu;M.
