Estimates of the Stress State of Venus’s Interior

An assessment of nonhydrostatic stresses in the interior of Venus was carried out for various models of inhomogeneous elasticity: the elastic model and models with a lithosphere of different thickness. We use data from the topography and gravitational field of the planet as boundary conditions. Numerical modeling of the system of equations of elastic equilibrium of a gravitating planet was carried out with a step of 1x1 degrees in latitude and longitude to a depth of 480 km.
