摘要
In this study, the increase in the calcination temperature of SrFe12O19 synthesized from local iron sand of Lombok Island-Indonesia was evaluated. SrFe12O19 was synthesized using the co-precipitation method with calcination temperature variations from 900 to 1200 °C. The microstructure, morphology, and magnetic properties were analyzed using X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The results showed that the SrFe12O19 hexaferrite phase was formed in all samples. The morphology shows that the sample tends to agglomerate with the average particle size increasing from 37.33 to 93.74 nm as the calcination temperature increases from 900 to 1200 °C. There are impurities element of Ti, Si, Mg, Ca and Al which are thought to be in the amorphous form. Magnetic properties characterization shows varying coercivity and saturation values. The saturation values were obtained in the range of 31.27–36.26 emu/g and the coercivity was obtained in the range of 1415–3570 Oe. The highest saturation values were obtained in the samples with a calcination temperature of 1000 °C (36.26 emu/g) while the highest coercivity were obtained in the samples with a calcination temperature of 1000 °C (3570 Oe).
