In a cascaded, tight wavelength-selective switch filtering point-to-multipoint optical system, a dynamic simulation demonstrated that low-Q-margin designs can be achieved by preventing excessive passband narrowing from light-source frequency drift caused by the dual-band collaborative frequency tuning of a Kalman filter during long-term system operation.
