Abstract
Recent advances in energy storage electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, etc. require a variety of features from a highly functional DC-DC converter. Among different topology configurations, bidirectional ones are used because of their reduced weight, size, and cost-effectiveness. A review of each bidirectional group converter has been addressed here based on advantages, disadvantages, voltage gain, characteristics, efficiency, and power density along with their typical application. The decision will make a ground of comparison for producing new topology and finding the appropriate converter for the specific application for the researchers.
