Abstract
Finite element simulation of hydrogen diffusion from charged samples duringTDSmeasurementwascarriedout.Severalvariantsofmodelswereconsidered within the framework of the hydrogen diffusion model with traps of various nature McNabb and Foster. The simulation took into account the skin effect observed when charging the metal samples with hydrogen. It was found that the experimentally observed additional low-temperature peak of hydrogen on the TDS was observed only in the case of a hundredfold increase in the density of hydrogen sites in the surface layer. It was concluded that in some cases, after charging the samples, the diffusion fluxes of hydrogen in the skin layer change to gas fluxes of molecular hydrogen through the system of micropores formed during charging.
