Comparison of heating modules for suspension-type multipoint temperature variability management in smart greenhouses

•Three heating modules were evaluated for managing temperatures inside smart greenhouses.•Tests were conducted in a closed chamber and a small greenhouse.•Positive temperature coefficient fin element module (PTCf) module showed better efficiency and maintained uniformity.•Large-scale field tests with multiple heating modules are needed to verify the findings.
